Hi Friends! Welcome to my visual diary. I've thought about starting a blog for a few years now, but would put it off over and over again out of fear of what other's might think of me, or fear of failing (I'm a bit of a perfectionist). I've grown since then, and finally feel like I know myself well enough to start this thing. I want this to be a place where I document what I love and share with you the things that inspire me. Fashion, art, design, health & beauty tips- etc! For those of you who don't know me, here's a bit about myself:
I'm a Jesus follower, first and foremost. My faith is the most important aspect of who I am, and drives the way that I live my life.
I'm married to my BFF Jay. He's a dream & I'm so obsessed with him! We met in 8th grade, and finally started dating about 3 years ago. I honestly can't believe how lucky I am to have such a sweet and loving man. Thank you Jesus!
I'm a graphic designer and communications director. Graphic Design is truly my passion, and I love creating minimal design with loads of intention. If you'd like to see some of my work, head over to my website: makenzieriley.com.
I've dealt with quite a few health issues throughout my life. I have something called multiple autoimmunity, and therefore live as naturally as possible to maintain my health. I'm really passionate about treating food as medicine, and encourage others to treat their body with kindness. I'm currently gluten, dairy, corn, egg and coconut free. It can be a major challenge, but I feel blessed that I'm able to feel as good as I do by maintaining a clean diet. A lot of people wonder what the heck I eat, so I plan to post more about that in the future :)
I love love love minimalism. This translates over every facet of my life- from the ingredients in my beauty products to my design style, fashion taste etc. Everyone has their own take on what "minimalism" is, and I'm excited to share my version with you!
My guilty (realllllly guilty) pleasure is reality TV. I'm a major Real Housewives/Kardashians fan (sorry, Jay). Just can't get enough of the *so obviously scripted* drama! hehe ;)
As cheesy as it sounds, I'm excited to finally begin this blogging journey with you. Cheer's to new beginnings!
